The Kazakh delegation, led by the Minister of Defense and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov, paid a working visit to the defense enterprises of the Kingdom of Spain.

The visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Aviation Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan began with a visit to the enterprises of the Spanish division of the company "AIRBUS Defense and Space", where the delegation got acquainted with the production process of the S-295 aircraft, currently operated by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Next, B. Atamkulov met with the Minister of Defense of Spain, Mrs. Maria Dolores de Cospedal Garcia, during the negotiations the parties discussed the implementation of joint projects and the prospects for further cooperation with Spanish companies of the military-industrial complex (DIC). As a result of the negotiations, the Kazakh delegation invited Spanish defense industry enterprises to take part in the V International Exhibition of Arms and Military-Technical Equipment KADEX, which will be held in Astana from May 23 to 26, 2018.

As part of the working trip, representatives of the Kazakh delegation held negotiations with the management of INDRA Sistemas S.A., where the parties discussed issues of cooperation in terms of joint production of radar and air defense systems, as well as in the field of cyber defense, space and digital technologies.

At the end of the working trip, the parties noted the great potential and expressed intentions to deepen and expand bilateral cooperation in the designated areas, and also identified specific practical steps to implement the agreements reached.
